Seems to me that Showbiz Reporters tend to use every now and then the Term "戰利品" in such a typical Example as a Movie Star, Singer or some Celebrity being captured on such a Reporter's Camera Lens and being seen carrying a Bagful of 戰利品 after some "wild" Shopping (or 掃貨 as such Reporters usually put it). I think the Term "戰利品" is in such a Case misused (with its original Definition being distorted) in that such 戰利品 ----- that are definitely not free of Charge ----- are not obtainable by Plunder, Victory in Warfare or Winning on a Wheel of Fortune by being looked upon with Favour by Lady Luck but have to be paid for.

Other perfect Samples of Perverting are "御用化妝師", "御用髮型師" and the Like, all not in the Service of any Sovereign but serving merely Populace such as certain Figures in the Entertainment Field.

Further Remarks from the same Writer of the above Comments:

On a related Matter, the Situation has also given Rise to other Terms namely, 戰衣 and 戰車. Likewise, these Terms seemingly also yield exaggerative Meanings.

A Supplement to my Passage stated above:

If such a highly complimentary, prestigious, hard-earned Designation as "御用" is bestowed upon such so-called 御用化妝師, 御用髮型師, 御用時裝設計師 and so forth ----- contrary to the Fact that any of such People is neither by Appointment to say a Monarch; nor can the Service rendered by any of such People be considered "imperial" or "royal" ----- i would consider this unfair to Law Practitioners known as 御用大律師 (Queen's Counsel) practising in Hong Kong in the colonial Epoch [the Title "御用大律師 (Queen's Counsel)" has to cope with the Reunification of Hong Kong with China in the Year 1997 and after that Year evolved into "資深大律師" (Senior Counsel)", though]. Those law-related Professionals, as their former Title implies, were really eligible to be bestowed the honorary Title "御用" since they were in Her Majesty's Service.
